The show was on Global Warming, what it is, its effects and consequences as well as different ways in which children can help. Put simply, global warming is the heating up of the earth’s surface. In other words it is the process by which the earth gets warmer resulting in more tornadoes, hurricanes and droughts. However, global warming is both a natural phenomenon and a man-made phenomenon as greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane are found naturally in the earth’s biosphere. Man contributes to this by producing more gases through car emissions and chopping down trees.
Simple ways in which children and adults can help is by switching their light bulbs for energy friendly light bulbs. Starting their own organic gardens in their homes and promoting organic farming in general.
